Following the resolution of her lengthy legal battle with Brad Pitt in divorce proceedings, recent updates indicate Angelina Jolie's potential intentions to relocate from the United States.
Angelina Jolie, the renowned actress and humanitarian, has announced her plans to sell her historic Los Angeles home and move abroad once her youngest children, twins Knox and Vivienne, turn 18 next year (2026).
Born and raised in LA, Jolie has never found Hollywood significant or important. She has expressed that she never wanted to live full-time in Los Angeles, staying due to custody arrangements with her ex-husband Brad Pitt. After the twins reach adulthood, Jolie intends to relocate to several possible locations abroad, including spending significant time in Cambodia, where she adopted her oldest son Maddox and considers it her true home.
Jolie's Los Angeles estate, a six-bedroom, ten-bathroom property with extensive grounds, is set to be put up for sale after some minor improvements are made. The actress has expressed that she feels she has lost the ability to live and travel freely amid her divorce and is looking forward to moving abroad.
An insider close to Jolie has stated that she will be "very happy" when she's able to leave Los Angeles. Jolie shares six children with Brad Pitt: Maddox, 24, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, and Knox and Vivienne, 17. The divorce settlement between Jolie and Pitt was finalised last December, following an extensive and contentious legal battle.
While no further details about Jolie's potential destinations abroad have been disclosed, it is known that she has been considering several locations. BuzzFeed has reached out to Jolie's reps for comment on her potential move, but no response has been received yet.
Jolie has described Hollywood as "shallow" and "not a healthy place." She grew up around the industry but never found it to be of great importance. It seems that Jolie is now ready to embark on a new chapter of her life, away from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood.
