The swift response: After the horrific terrorist attack in Kashmir against Indian tourists on April 22, which claimed 26 lives, New Delhi swiftly took action against Pakistan. The Indian government suspended the 1960 Indus Treaty, a water-sharing agreement, on a temporary basis, stating, "until Pakistan credibly and irrevocably renounces its support for cross-border terrorism."
