Following the Fronhof incident, what measures can be implemented to avoid future attacks?

In an effort to address the lingering concerns of Solingen residents following the tragic Fronhof attack last year, a discussion has been scheduled for the 8th of July at Salon 122, Neuenhofer Str. 122.

Marc Lürbke, a member of the parliamentary investigative committee, will be speaking at the event, shedding light on the incident and potential lessons to be learned. Joining him will be Daniel Schirm, chairman of the Free Democrats Solingen, who has emphasised the importance of population safety as a responsibility.

The discussion, which begins at 6:30 PM, will not only focus on the Fronhof attack but also on increasing security in the future. Refreshments in the form of pizza and drinks will be provided during the event.

Three people lost their lives and eight others were injured in the attack at the Solingen city festival in August of last year. The defendant of the Fronhof attack has already confessed, and a verdict is expected in September. The public debate has particularly focused on why the defendant was still in Germany at the time of the crime.

Another point of discussion will be why a second deportation attempt of the suspect did not occur, following a previous failed attempt. The FDP Solingen invites all interested Solingen residents to attend the discussion and engage in a constructive dialogue about the matter.

Discussion at Salon 122 on the 8th of July will delve into politics and general-news, including the Fronhof attack, with Marc Lürbke and Daniel Schirm providing insights. The event will also touch upon crime-and-justice matters, such as increasing security and the circumstances surrounding the defendant's presence in Germany during the crime.
