It's no secret that things got intense behind the scenes of the "7 vs. Wild" production. Wildlife filmmaker, Andreas Kieling (63), was abruptly dropped from the project following allegations of inappropriate behavior towards his colleague Ann-Kathrin Bendixen, known as "Affe auf Bike." Now, Kieling's position on the matter has finally been revealed.
In the heart of the Eifel region, tensions were high during the preparation phase for the new season of "7 vs. Wild." Kieling was given the boot with accusations of harassing Bendixen during a dance. Yet, Kieling's lawyer has recently broken the silence, sharing the filmmaker's perspective.
Kieling's Lawyer Speaks Out: "Consensual Dance"
As controversy swirled, many colleagues publicly denounced Kieling. However, his lawyer has now spoken to t-online, stating, "Mr. Kieling was informed that Ms. Bendixen felt harassed by him during the dance. Mr. Kieling expressed his deep regret that she felt harassed, and he sincerely apologized to her."
Although the lawyer acknowledges the situation, he assures that there were no boundary crossings or inappropriate behavior. Instead, the dance was "consensual." The lawyer further clarified, "It is in the nature of such an energetic dance that there will be physical contact. At no point did Mr. Kieling grab Ms. Bendixen's buttocks in the presence of numerous other participants and members of the production."
Moving On: "Matter is Settled"
Kieling also denies the claim that he only wanted a team comprised of women. According to his lawyer, Kieling merely expressed interest in working with the wildlife filmmaking candidate. With the matter seemingly resolved, Kieling will move forward with his planned tour.
Bendixen herself confirmed the situation's resolution on Instagram. Despite being "shocked" by the allegations, Kieling expresses that no one spoke to him about the concerns prior. "No one had intervened. No one had criticized," the lawyer stated. Now, the focus should return to the "7 vs. Wild" project.
Buzzing Around: "Das Sommerhaus der Stars," and More
