Following her live TV appearance photo receiving widespread attention, Larsa Pippen addresses criticism towards her allegedly enhanced physical appearance.
In the recent buzz surrounding Larsa Pippen's cosmetic procedures, the reality TV star has found herself at the centre of criticism over her noticeably swollen face. The controversy arose after a viral video on Fox 5's Good Night New York, which sparked discussions about Larsa's use of fillers.
However, Larsa has clarified that her swollen appearance was not due to overfilling but rather an allergic reaction and infection caused by PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy after surgery. She made this statement in response to a viral video posted by board-certified aesthetics provider Dr. Mai Kaga, who expressed concern about being overtreated and overfilled, unnecessarily and covering up one's natural features.
Dr. Kaga, also known as "Honey", is a double board-certified physician, specialising in aesthetics. In her initial video commentary, she stated that not all cosmetic work is good work, emphasising the importance of choosing the right injector, even with unlimited funds.
In response to the criticism, Larsa wrote on her platform that she had a PRP treatment and had an allergic reaction. She reiterated that many critics were unfairly mocking her medical condition rather than understanding it.
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a cosmetic procedure that involves a patient's own blood cells being injected back into their face to accelerate healing in a specific area, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine. Although allergic reactions to PRP are extremely rare, they can occur.
Larsa also shared another video addressing the viral photo, stating that the photo might have been manipulated and that her face does not look like the one in the photo. This controversy continues in the comments section of Larsa's Instagram posts.
Despite the controversy, Larsa remains resilient and continues to advocate for self-acceptance and understanding in the face of public scrutiny.
