Following her appearance on "Dancing Stars", legal proceedings are now expected.
Simone Lugner, contestant on Dancing Stars, finds herself in a heap of legal trouble this summer. The Lugner City, the family-owned company of her late husband Richard Lugner, is suing her for a whopping 14,000 euros.
Navigating from the ballroom to the courtroom, Simone's life took an unexpected turn after an eight-day incident following her husband's demise. In a fateful blunder, she mistook guidance from her navigation system and cruised her husband's company vehicle, a slick 7-series BMW, into a construction zone, where a rear-end collision ensued. Though the accident seemed minor, it seemed to have more severe repercussions than expected.
Feeling the matter was settled, Simone duly filled out the accident report and passed it along to the Lugner City, assuming that since the car bore their name, everything was squared away. However, things took a turn for the worse when she received a bill demanding over 14,000 euros for the BMW's repair in February 2025.
Sensing the storm advancing, Simone sought the assistance of her lawyer, Florian Hoellwarth, and appealed the claim, suggesting a settlement. Naturally, the Lugner City rejected the out-of-court settlement and sued Simone, allegedly due to their lack of comprehensive insurance for the BMW, which left them liable for the damages caused during the accident.
Simone understands the game and decided to sort things out once she finishes Dancing Stars. "I'm not going to waste my time worrying about it until then," she said in an interview with oe24. "Right now, I'm focusing on Dancing Stars. I'll tackle one thing at a time." With the first court date set for June, Simone can channel her energy and grace towards her dancing, hoping to outshine the legal turbulence on the dancefloor.
Simone, in the midst of the upheaval caused by her legal troubles, has turned to her lawyer, Florian Hoellwarth, for assistance. Despite the bill demanding over 14,000 euros for the repair of the BMW, Simone has appealed the claim, proposing a settlement. However, the Lugner City, unable to settle out of court due to lacking comprehensive insurance for the BMW, has proceeded to sue Simone, a move that has drawn the attention of other celebrities and the entertainment world, adding another layer of complexity to Simone's exit from the Dancing Stars competition.
