Following an injury, the scheduled fight of former world champion Gualtieri has been called off.

Vincenzo Gualtieri, the former IBF world champion, will not participate in his next boxing match due to a foot injury sustained during training. The Agon boxing stable, responsible for Gualtieri's boxing career, announced the unfortunate news in a statement, confirming that the injury is severe enough to make participation in the match impossible.

The scheduled match was a defense of Gualtieri's European title of the WBO against Swiss opponent Ramadan Hiseni, which was expected to be a significant one for the Italian-German boxer, given his status as a former world champion.

The injury occurred during training, but the exact nature and cause of the injury are not specified in the statement. Gualtieri, native of Wuppertal, expressed his disappointment about missing the match.

Despite Gualtieri's absence, the event on September 12th at the Uber Eats Music Hall, Berlin, will still feature other athletes. The lineup includes seven high-level fights, with Cuban boxers Arlen López and Lázaro Álvarez replacing Gualtieri, bringing international championship action to Berlin's Uber Eats Music Hall.

One of the athletes competing at the event is Paul Wall, who will compete at the event on September 12th and will fight for the German championship of the Bund Deutscher Berufsboxer (BDB). This will be Paul Wall's first professional title fight.

The event will also feature the following matches:

  • Arlen López vs. Martin Bulacio — competing for the WBA International & Continental Light Heavyweight Title
  • Lázaro Álvarez vs. Miguel Queliz Santos — competing for the WBA International & Continental Lightweight Title
  • Hamsat Shadalov vs. Alex de la Rosa
  • Moussa Gholam vs. Misael Vasquez — for the Junior Lightweight Title
  • Yakelin Estornell vs. Lina Tejada — Women's professional debut fight

The Uber Eats Music Hall is the venue for the scheduled match between Gualtieri and Hiseni, which was set to take place on September 12th. Gualtieri won the IBF world title by defeating Esquiva Falcao in Wuppertal in 2023, but he lost his biggest career title to Kazakh Shanibek Alimchanuli several months after winning it.

Despite Gualtieri's withdrawal, the event promises to deliver an exciting night of boxing action.

Sports fans eagerly await the upcoming event on September 12th at the Uber Eats Music Hall, Berlin, as it will still feature several high-level fights despite Vincenzo Gualtieri's absence due to a foot injury. The scheduled defense of Gualtieri's European title of the WBO against Ramadan Hiseni will now be replaced by international championship fights featuring Cuban boxers Arlen López and Lázaro Álvarez.
