The highly anticipated reality show, "The Showdown - Celebrity Reckoning", is set to premiere on ProSieben and Joyn on November 6th at 8:15 PM. The show brings together familiar faces embroiled in celebrity feuds, promising "fireworks" for viewers.
The five-episode series, produced by ProSieben, sees eight celebrity pairs who can't stand each other being locked in a secluded house. The exact celebrity duos participating in the ProSieben production have not yet been announced, but rumours suggest pairings such as Verena Kerth and Giulia Siegel, Sam Dylan and Kate Merlan, or Lisha Savage and Eva Benetatou.
Celebrity couples featured in the show include Sophia Thomalla & Loris Karius, Rúrik Gíslason & Franziska Knuppe, and Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht & Sophia Thomalla.
Lizi Sofeso, entertainment chief for Joyn and ProSieven, describes the show as "Familiar faces, familiar stories - uncertain outcome." The celebrities must choose to either bury the hatchet and work together or go down together.
The show is a reality format that promises an exciting twist, with the contestants only finding out who they're paired with upon moving into the house. A prize of up to 50,000 euros is available for the winners.
"The Showdown - Celebrity Reckoning" will also air on Pro7 and is available on Joyn. The show is still in the rumour stage regarding the specific celebrity pairs involved, but one thing is certain - it's set to be a must-watch for reality TV fans.
