Get ready to immerse yourself in tradition, camaraderie, and fun! From June 13th to 16th, 2025, the Citizens' Shooting Club Fluren will be hosting their 130th Shooting Festival, transforming the town into an epicenter of celebration. The reign of King Pair Carsten and Claudia Overkamp and their court will come to an end during this exciting event.

Friday: Fun for Kids and Young Guns
Kicking off the Whitsun Weekend is Friday, June 13th, with an array of activities for the youngsters. From 2:30 PM, children will gather at the Waldstadion to parade their way to the festival tent, where the Children's Shooting Festival begins. The day's festivities include shooting competitions, and the main focus will be on the King's and prize discs.
As the Children's Shooting Festival wraps up at 6 PM, the evening heated up with a party night for the youth. At 7:45 PM, young shooters and guest clubs will gather at the Waldstadion before marching into the festival tent for an unforgettable night.
Saturday: Tattoo, Bird Prize Shooting, and a King's send-off
On Saturday, June 14th, come together with the Citizens' Shooting Club at the Fluren market place at 3 PM. The day begins with a tattoo and ends with a wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial. After the ceremony, the Citizens' Shooting Club will march through Fluren's area to the festival tent, where honorary members will be awarded, and deserving members will be honored. Following this, the Bird Prize Shooting will take place, with the opening ball commencing at 8 PM, marking King Carsten Overkamp and Queen Claudia Overkamp's final appearance on the throne.
Sunday: King's Shooting and the Crowning of a New Regent
The day starts early on Sunday (June 15th) with a drum corps waking the residents of Fluren at 6 AM. The Citizens' Shooting Club will assemble at the "Dorfkeller" guesthouse at 1 PM, with King candidates for 2025 signing up for the shooting list by 2 PM. The parade takes place on the Fluren sports field in the presence of the reigning King Pair and other esteemed guests.
Following the parade, the King's Shooting will commence, with the announcement of the new King expected between 6 and 7 PM, according to the Citizens' Shooting Club.
Monday: Closing Brunch and Warm Send-off
On Monday, June 16th, the Shooting Festival will wind down with a relaxing get-together. From 11 AM, the club board, along with the new King, will pay visits to the companies in their quarters. The evening is set for the festive King's Ball, where numerous distinguished guests from Wesel are expected to attend. The Citizens' Shooting Club eagerly awaits your presence at the festival.
