Florida Panthers to Honor Brad Marchand's 1,000th Point in Pregame Ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 30 against the Montreal Canadiens
Brad Marchand has made history as the first Florida Panthers player to reach 1,000 career NHL points. The milestone came during a game against the Washington Capitals on November 13, with two assists securing his place in the record books. Now, the Panthers will celebrate his achievement in a special ceremony later this month.
Marchand became the 102nd skater in NHL history to hit 1,000 points. He is also the 12th active player to reach this milestone. Among his peers, he joins an elite group of Nova Scotia-born players, including Sidney Crosby, Al MacInnis, Bobby Smith, and Nathan MacKinnon.
The Panthers will honour Marchand’s accomplishment on Tuesday, December 30. A pregame ceremony is scheduled at Amerant Bank Arena before their match against the Montreal Canadiens at 7 p.m. ET. No other player in Panthers history has achieved 1,000 career points while wearing the team’s jersey. Marchand’s feat marks a first for the franchise, solidifying his legacy in Florida.
The ceremony will recognise Marchand’s contribution to the Panthers and his place among the NHL’s top scorers. His milestone also highlights the franchise’s growing success, as he becomes the first player to reach 1,000 points while representing the team.
