Florida man arrested for indecent exposure while driving a Tesla

A South Florida man, Rogerio Miranda De Souza, was arrested on May 15, 2023, after allegedly exposing himself to a woman. The incident occurred while he was driving his gray Tesla Model Y in South Miami. Police have since charged him with indecent exposure, a misdemeanour offence. The victim, who had just left a Miami gym, noticed she was being followed by De Souza. He then exposed himself to her before she reported the incident to the police. Authorities later identified him through a photo lineup and arrested him at his home.

De Souza was released on a $1,000 bond but must stay at least 500 feet away from the victim. His attorney, Sam Rabin, stated that De Souza is employed and lives with his family. Rabin also emphasised that his client is entitled to the presumption of innocence. Police suspect there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.

De Souza now faces a misdemeanour charge of indecent exposure. The court has imposed restrictions on his movements near the victim. Authorities continue to investigate whether other incidents involving him may have occurred.
