Title: Flooding Hits 9 Homes in Omsk and Surrounding Regions

It's been reported that a whopping nine residential homes have been submerged due to a surge of meltwater in Omsk and its nearby areas on Monday, April 7, 2025. Regional emergency services confirmed the flooding incidents, attributing them to the progressive influx of large volumes of water.

Five affected settlements have been identified, including the city of Omsk itself. For instance, in Odesky Rayon's administrative center, four residential homes housing ten residents, along with three private plots, have been flooded. Two flooded homes for six residents, as well as two private plots, were reported in the working settlement of Russkaya Polyanina.

Additionally, one submerged home, along with a few others, has been reported in the SNT "Druzhba" within Omsk, the working settlement of Cherlak, and the village of Mayak in the Okoneshnikovsky Rayon. According to rescuers, an emergency shelter has been set up in Cherlak.

Interestingly, rumors of Mayak being completely flooded circulated on social media the previous Saturday, April 5, 2025. However, the Okoneshnikovsky Rayon administration clarified on the same day that water removal work was already underway near the affected homes.
