Flight attendant from British Airways nabbed following mid-air strip show on a transatlantic journey
In a bizarre twist of events, a British Airways crew member found himself in hot water after an incident on a transatlantic flight from San Francisco to London Heathrow. The air steward, aged 41, reportedly lost his marbles mid-air and decided to throw a naked, drug-fueled dance party in the business class toilet.
The incident occurred during meal service on board the double-decker Airbus A380-800. A crew manager, noticing the absence of the colleague, found him in a state of undress, hosting his own private bash.
The startled crew had to improvise by draping the errant colleague in a pair of pyjamas sourced from among the first-class passengers' comfort packs. He was then escorted from the swanky Club World toilet and strapped into a first-class seat for the remainder of the flight. Unsurprisingly, the crew was left seething at being left one member short to cater to the passengers and forced to work the rest of the shift with no breaks.
Rumors suggest the BA employee may have consumed illicit substances before the flight. A fellow crew member was quoted saying, "It's like he took pills meant for work and decided to stage a one-man disco in a Club World toilet instead. The plane was high above the Atlantic, but he was higher than everyone else."
Once the plane landed at London Heathrow, the Metropolitan Police were contacted and a 41-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of being unfit for duty. The individual was then wheeled off the aircraft and taken to a hospital for examination before being released while the investigation continues. At present, he has been suspended from duty.
A colleague who spoke to the media shared, "This is an absurd way to end your BA career. This job can drive people to the edge, but staging a one-man disco in a Club World toilet is a new low."[1][2][3]
