"Good step forward": Flekken optimistic despite draw - Flekken Unfazed: Bayer Leverkusen's High Game Density to Foster Unity

Bayer Leverkusen's goalkeeper Mark Flekken remains optimistic despite another draw in the Champions League. He believes the team's high game density will foster unity and growth.

Flekken credits coach Kasper Hjulmand, appointed in September 2025, for driving the team's development. Hjulmand, previously with the Danish national team and Mainz 05, is responsible for match analysis and team strategy.

Flekken praised the team's performance against PSV Eindhoven, describing it as 'not bad' and a 'good step forward'. He is confident that the team can compete against bigger clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, Benfica Lisbon, Manchester City, and Newcastle United if they continue to improve.

Bayer Leverkusen's next challenge is against Union Berlin on Saturday at 3:30 PM. Flekken is hopeful that the team's progress will continue, with the high game density helping to strengthen their bond and performance.
