'Flash' engages in a kickboxing battle known as Bughaw
Kickboxing Elite Renan Noblefranca Roars Back with a Bang!
Renan "Flash" Noblefranca, a well-known name in the martial arts world, recently stormed back onto the kickboxing scene with a bang! He conquered Christian Mark Bughaw at the 57th Araw ng Sirawai "Sagupaan MMA Fight 2025" held in Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte.
In a dominating display, NobleFranca, who had been away from the kickboxing ring for a while, seized victory with a unanimous decision. His last recorded kickboxing win was in 2022 against Ramil Yacapin in Dipolog City.
Take a step back, and you'd think Noblefranca had lost interest in kickboxing since 2023. However, it seems like a strategic break, as he shifted focus to the boxing ring. He engaged in two more fights in 2023 and one international bout, showcasing his adaptability.
Master Benigno "Ekin" Caniga Jr., founder and CEO of Yaw-Yan Ardigma Cebu, and his son, Johnlery "Ian" Caniga, have been a constant presence in the martial arts scene. Master Caniga Jr., a pioneer of MMA in Cebu, was delighted to see Noblefranca's triumphant comeback, which rekindled his passion for martial arts.
"I'm over the moon that Flash won! My love for martial arts has been rekindled after my temporary absence," shared Master Caniga Jr. in an interview with our website Cebu.
With the resurgence of Yaw-Yan Ardigma Cebu's fighting spirit, Master Caniga is planning to reopen their gym soon. He's on the hunt for a suitable location with ample parking space, hoping to welcome martial arts enthusiasts once again this year.
As a promising contender, Master Caniga has high expectations for Noblefranca. He envisions him competing in the upcoming Muay Thai Visayas Leg 2025 in Ormoc City and the National Muay Thai Championship qualifiers in Pasig City towards the end of the year.
Though specific plans for Muay Thai events aren't confirmed, Noblefranca's strong foundation and skill set could potentially translate well into Muay Thai. Given his team's legacy and his own prowess, it's plausible that he may venture into future Muay Thai competitions, adding another feather to Yaw-Yan Ardigma Cebu's cap.
Noblefranca's triumphant return serves as a testament to his resilience and talent, and it's exciting to speculate about his future in the martial arts scene, whether it's kickboxing or Muay Thai. Stay tuned for more updates! 🥊🔥🏋️♂️
