Flames stars bring holiday cheer to families at Calgary hospital

The Comfort Cart program, run by the Ronald McDonald House in Alberta, offers snacks, drinks, toys, and hygiene items to hospital families. Backlund explained that the team wanted to bring some comfort to children facing tough medical treatments. He added that seeing smiles on their faces made the visit especially meaningful.

The initiative provided immediate relief to families at the Peter Lougheed Centre. Backlund, Weegar, Cooley, and Beecher’s involvement brought attention to the ongoing work of the Ronald McDonald House. Their efforts ensured that children and parents received small but meaningful comforts during their hospital experience.
