Flamengo Secures Landmark Partnership with Betano Worth Over $170 Million
Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, one of Brazil's most iconic sports clubs, has entered a new partnership with Betano, a global innovator in the gaming sector. This deal, valued at approximately R$895 million (US$164 million) over 40 months, is set to be the largest in the history of Brazilian soccer, potentially reaching R$932.5 million (US$170 million) including variable payments.
The agreement, which runs from August 2025 to December 2028, involves annual fixed payments of R$268.5 million (approx. US$49 million) plus additional variable remuneration based on Betano's website registrations. This partnership marks a significant step for Flamengo, as it more than doubles the value of their previous main sponsorship with Pixbet.
Betano's global presence aligns perfectly with Flamengo's strategy for worldwide expansion. The partnership covers front-of-shirt sponsorship on all Flamengo men's and women's kits, as well as branding rights across the club's multiple sports teams, including volleyball, basketball, and Olympic sports, and Flamengo TV, the club’s direct-to-consumer service.
Flamengo thanks Betano for its trust and for selecting the Brazilian sports club as a global partner. This partnership places Flamengo among the 20 largest sponsorship deals in world football. Betano joins an elite list of clubs sponsored by the brand, including Bayern Munich and River Plate.
The new partnership aims to strengthen Betano's presence among Flamengo's fans. The deal was signed after a transparent bidding process involving multiple companies. The contract is set to be closed at the upcoming Deliberative Council meeting on August 19.
Despite the lack of specific details about the duration and financial aspects of the partnership beyond the reported $46 million, this partnership is a testament to the strength of the Flamengo brand and Betano's growth ambitions in the global sports betting sector.
