Festive Vandalism: Five Santas Unleash Chaos on Berlin Train

Not your typical holiday cheer: A viral Instagram video reveals the chaos - five miscreants, donning Santa Claus costumes complete with beards, deface an entire train compartment of a Berlin S-Bahn train using spray paint.

They abandon the conventional approach, instead opting to pull the cans of paint from the depths of their pockets.

Investigations underway for property damage

The departure signal of the S-Bahn blares, yet the five jolly bandits press on. A suspected accomplice (in civilian attire) blocks the adjacent train door, impeding its progress.

As per information from the Federal Police, now actively investigating property damage cases, the incident unfolded on the Schönholz platform on December 3 in the dead of night. The spray art enthusiasts seized a halt on the S 1 train around 3 a.m. to craft three letters in silver and black across an area of roughly 20 square meters.

Witnesses caught the act on camera and contacted the Berlin police via emergency call. However, the festive chaos didn't last long, and the bearded vandals slipped away unnoticed, leaving behind a trail of investigations.

A search of the vicinity proved fruitless.

Additional Insights:

While a Santa Claus-themed graffiti incident on a Berlin S-Bahn train has not been reported recently, research indicates that vandalism remains an ongoing issue both locally and globally. Various initiatives and community engagement strategies have been employed to curb this problem, with preventative measures such as increased security, targeted education, and public awareness campaigns proving instrumental.
