Five Magical Minsky Nights in October: A Film Filled with Laughter, Thrill, and Powerful Emotions

Every Wednesday evening at 8 pm, the Schauburg cinema on Heddesdorfer Straße 84 presents its "Wednesday Cinema" screenings, a collaboration between the municipal youth office, the adult education center, the city portal, and the film theater operator Weiler. Tickets can be purchased online via seat reservation on www.kinoourwebsite or at the box office.

On October 8, the Minski will host a special screening of "The Protected Man," a political satire where a virus affects only men. This film, directed by an unnamed creator, sees the Chancellor falling ill with the male-specific virus, leading to a radical feminist party temporarily taking power. A week later, on October 15, the Minski will show "The Life of Chuck," a film that starts with the end and is set in a dystopian scenario where nature is rebelling against humanity. Strange billboards praising a certain Charles "Chuck" Krantz offer hope in this bleak world.

On October 22, the Schauburg cinema will screen "The Salt Path," a drama about a couple, Raynor and Moth, who face hardships including losing their farm due to debt, Moth's diagnosis with an incurable disease, and embarking on a 1000-kilometer journey along the English coast. This journey is intended to change their relationship fundamentally.

The month concludes on October 29 with the French comedy "Six of a Kind - Luck is Nothing for Beginners" at the Minski. In this film, all characters are involved in a dramatic story in some way, and Paul and his family find a two-month-old lottery ticket, forcing them to hurry to claim the prize.

One of the highlights of the October program is the award-winning drama "Look into the Sun" by Mascha Schilinski. This film, which has a runtime of over two and a half hours, is about the fates of four young women connected in some way. "Look into the Sun" was awarded at the Cannes Film Festival.
