Lower Rhine's Handball Verbandsliga Gears Up for 2025/26
It's already time to get ready for the 2025/26 season in the Handball Verbandsliga as summer break comes to an end. The North Rhine Handball Association has unveiled the team allocations and match schedules.

TuS Lintfort Breaks Ground: After an eventful season, promoted TuS Lintfort will venture into new territory.
The women's Verbandsliga is of particular interest to locals. TuS Lintfort and SV Neukirchen, from Moers and the surroundings, are in the same group now, along with TV Kapellen, TV Schwafheim, TV Issum, to name a few. The season is set to commence on the weekend of September 20/21, but specific start times are yet to be announced. The championship concludes on the weekend of May 16/17, 2026. The season opener will feature exciting encounters, such as TV Schwafheim vs TV Issum, TV Kapellen welcoming TB Oberhausen, SV Neukirchen facing TV Borken, and TuS Lintfort going head-to-head with HSG Wesel.
When and Who?
1st Round (20/21 September/Return 31 January/1 February): TSG Kirchhellen - MTV Dinslaken II, TV Kapellen - TB Oberhausen, TuS Lintfort - HSG Wesel, TV Schwafheim - TV Issum, HSG Hiesfeld/Aldenrade II - Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, SV Neukirchen - TV Borken, HC TV Rhede - Alstadener TuS.
...and so on, till the end of the season.
You can keep an eye on the official website of the Handballverband Niederrhein (HVNR) or local clubs from Moers (e.g., TV Moers, HSG Moers), Kamp-Lintfort, Neukirchen-Vluyn, or other nearby towns as they often announce fixtures once they are released. The schedule might become available closer to the start of the competition, usually in July or August.
