Fishing trials' set dates confirmed
The Financial Market Authority (FMA) Liechtenstein has announced a Pearson exam that will take place on November 25 and 26, 2025, with the theoretical part scheduled for November 19, 2025. The practical exam will be held at 32120 Hiddenhausen-Sundern, Untere Wiesenstr. 55, Meeting Point Sundern.
The application deadline for the exam is October 18, 2025, at 24:00. Interested individuals can find the application form on the Kreis Herford's website at http://web.ourwebsite/s/fishingexam. Applications can be submitted to the Kreis Herford at Amtshausstr. 3, 32051 Herford, either by post or email via the Kreis Herford's service portal.
The exam consists of a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, participants will be tested on general fish knowledge, special fish knowledge, water and fish breeding, nature and animal protection, and equipment and legal knowledge. The practical part will assess the skills of assembling an angler's equipment for fishing in a proper manner, adding further necessary equipment, and recognizing and naming fish species.
Priority will be given to those from the Kreis Herford during registration. However, those who do not live in the Kreis Herford but wish to be examined by the Lower Fisheries Authority of the Kreis Herford must obtain an exemption permit from their local fisheries authority by October 18, 2025, at 24:00. Those who are unsure if there are any remaining places are advised to inquire by phone (05221 13-2680) before the registration deadline.
The number of participants is limited to 120. No advance payments are required; a corresponding fee invoice will be received after registration. The exam location is 32120 Hiddenhausen-Sundern, Untere Wiesenstr. 55, Meeting Point Sundern. The practical exam will take place on November 19, 2025, starting at 14:00, and each day of the practical exam will run from 8:00 to 16:00.
