Fishing trials have been set in stone
The deadline for registering for the upcoming Fishery Exam is fast approaching. Here's a breakdown of the important details to help you prepare.
Application and Exemption Permit Submission Deadline
The last day to submit your application and, if you're a non-resident, your exemption permit is October 18, 2025, at 24:00.
Application Submission Methods
You can submit your application by post or via email through the Kreis Herford's service portal. For non-residents, it's recommended to inquire by phone (05221 13-2680) before the registration deadline to check if there are any available places. Alternatively, you can request an application form via email (jagdbehoerde@ourwebsite) or in person. The application form can be found at http://web.ourwebsite/s/fisheryexam.
Exam Structure
The Fishery Exam consists of both a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, your knowledge in general fish knowledge, specific fish knowledge, water and fish breeding, nature and animal protection, and equipment and legal knowledge will be tested. The practical part will assess your skills in assembling an angling device for catching fish in a sportsmanlike manner, adding necessary equipment, and identifying and naming fish species.
Exam Dates and Location
The written exam will take place on November 19, 2025, starting at 14:00, while the practical exams will be held on November 25 and 26, 2025, each day from 8:00 to 16:00. The exam location is 32120 Hiddenhausen-Sundern, Untere Wiesenstr. 55, Meeting Point Sundern.
Number of Participants
Please note that the number of participants is limited to 120. Priority during registration is given to those from Kreis Herford.
Fees
No advance payments are required. You will receive a corresponding invoice for the fees after registration.
Important Note
The exam date on November 19, 2025, corresponds to an oral exam day for the Wirtschaftsprüfer (auditor) qualification in Liechtenstein, held from November 17 to 19, 2025. Please plan accordingly to avoid any scheduling conflicts.
