Fischen's Stinesser Lift Set for Fall Changes

The Stinesser lift in Fischen, a popular skiing destination, is set for changes this fall. Toni Vogler, a local skiing enthusiast, shares the history of the lifts, highlighting the role of a daring skier, known as 'Däpperle', who helped bring the German Ski National Teams to the slope below the Maderhalm district in snowy winters.

The Stinesser lift in Fischen consists of two chairlifts. The longer one, which has served skiers for many years, will be dismantled this fall. Meanwhile, the shorter lift, known as the Buckelwiesen lift, will continue operating, ensuring skiers can still enjoy the slopes.

Toni Vogler, a local figure, often recounts the story of 'Däpperle', a skilled skier who played a crucial role in the development of the Stinesser-Lifts. In particularly snowy winters, 'Däpperle' would tackle the challenging task of preparing the slope below the Maderhalm area, making it accessible for the German ski national team to train. His efforts significantly shaped the creation and improvement of the lifts in Fischen.

This fall, the Stinesser lift in Fischen will see changes with the dismantling of one of its chairlifts. Despite this, the Buckelwiesen lift will remain operational. Locals and visitors alike can continue to enjoy the slopes, thanks in part to the legacy of 'Däpperle', the daring skier who helped put Fischen on the map for winter sports.
