Döbeln's Future Becomes Bockwurst Bounty

"Get ready for Karl's Sausage Paradise," exclaims this Mecklenburg transplant. "Right here, a playful tribute to a classic German favorite, enjoyed by many Germans and Saxons, spans an impressive 2,000 square meters." The visual preview hints at more than just mustard drips.

The Future Belongs to the Sausage

First, watch a colossal corn maze blossom in the spring. Yet, another attraction awaits springtime's arrival in Döbeln. Its interiors have been polished to perfection in Rövershagen's garage-yard headquarters.

"During my last trip to the USA, I saw a mind-blowing barrel vehicle on a pumpkin farm. I pondered about whether the German TÜV would approve it. Our locksmiths then transformed the idea into practice, constructing a prototype in the comfort of their own homes. After a few tweaks, we received the nod from TÜV. The Porsche barrel rally can begin."

Porsche, you say? Yes, two 60-year-old Porsche tractors have been procured as towing vehicles. In the future, each barrel train can carry 20 lucky guests.

Robert Dahl, Döbeln's Mayor, and Site Inspection Time. The adventure world was his personal wish for the region

Originally, this entrepreneur planned on investing 20 million euros into the new location in Döbeln. Now, construction costs have skyrocketed to a whopping 28 million euros.

Incidentally, Robert Dahl pioneered his own strawberry farm in Rövershagen near Rostock in 1992, as his father had requested. The operation started with a scant 10 hectares of strawberry fields and 13 strawberry sales huts.

The company branched out and transformed into a popular leisure destination. Karl's Adventure Village has thrived in Rövershagen since 1993, with other locations in Zirkow on Rügen (2012), Warnsdorf near Lübeck, and Elstal near Berlin (2014), and Koserow on Usedom (2016).
