Fireworks sales for New Year's Day are banned
A photograph capturing the stunning spectacle of New Year's Eve fireworks in Halle has been released by dts Nachrichtenagentur, but this year's fireworks celebrations will be different due to a nationwide ban on their sale.
The ban, issued by Horst Seehofer, the Federal Minister of the Interior, Building and Community, aims to prevent injuries from fireworks on New Year's Eve and relieve hospitals and emergency clinics already heavily burdened due to the corona pandemic.
The ban applies to the transfer of pyrotechnic items of category F2 to private individuals for the New Year's Eve 2020/2021. This includes typical items such as firecrackers and rockets. Previously placed orders via the online trade may not be delivered to the end customer.
It is important to note that the photograph is not related to the corona pandemic directly, and it is not intended to promote any specific product or service. The photograph is shareable via email for those who wish to enjoy the visual reminder of a more normal New Year's Eve.
The sales ban was announced on Tuesday, and it is worth mentioning that the photograph is not part of the decree. It was obtained from dts Nachrichtenagentur for the purpose of sharing the beauty of New Year's Eve fireworks, while emphasising the need for caution and consideration during these challenging times.
Stay safe and have a happy and firework-free New Year's Eve!
