YAKUTIA.INFO. As per the Emergency Headquarters of Yakutia's report, smoke has cleared from three forest fires extinguished in the last day, charring a total of 1,449.5 hectares.
A brand-new forest fire was spotted through satellite and air monitoring, scorching 205 hectares.
From June 15's early hours, there are six fires still blazing, collectively consuming 2,459 hectares in Verkhnekolymsky, Momsky, Tomponsky, and Ust-Yansky districts.
Since the start of the season, 323 natural fires have been put out across 57,818.45 hectares, including 138 forest fires that burned 51,341.45 hectares.
Remember that since June 5, 2025, a stringent fire prevention regime has been enforced across the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
Places like Verkhoyansky, Ust-Aldan, Olekminsky, and Eveno-Bytantaysky districts, and the cities of Zhatai and Yakutsk, have also implemented such fire prevention regulations.
