Loitz Volunteer Fire Department Surprises Newlyweds at KulturKonsum
In a heartwarming turn of events, the Loitz Volunteer Fire Department (LVFD) made a surprise appearance at the old Kaufmannshof, where Janett and Andy Hauth were getting married at the Loitz KulturKonsum.
The LVFD, who had been assisting in clearing a stubble field earlier, managed to sneak in just in time to surprise the newlyweds. Firefighter Nicole Knuth reported that both Janett and Andy were overjoyed by the unexpected visit.
This was the third wedding at the Loitz KulturKonsum this year, with seven couples choosing the venue for their special day. Kathleen Röske, responsible for the decorations, added a touch of elegance and style to the occasion.
The LVFD's involvement in the wedding was not related to their recent deployment, which saw them respond to two incidents. The first incident occurred in Rustow, where a tractor hit a power pole, causing a spark that set the surrounding area and the tractor on fire. The LVFD successfully extinguished the blaze.
The second incident required assistance with transportation and occurred on Loitz Sweden Street. In this instance, the Peenestadt fire department was called to aid the LVFD.
Despite these incidents, the LVFD managed to maintain their usual efficiency and completed their duties promptly. It's worth noting that the LVFD's recent deployment was not a serious matter, as it was for surprising the newlywed couple at the KulturKonsum.
Interestingly, there might be more weddings at the Loitz KulturKonsum this year, as the deputy chairwoman of the Loitz Heimatverein mentioned that there were two more weddings scheduled, one in the morning and another the following day.
These unexpected surprises and community events highlight the versatility and commitment of the Loitz Volunteer Fire Department, who continue to serve their community in various capacities.
Firefighter Nicole Knuth revealed that Janett and Andy Hauth, overjoyed by the LVFD's unexpected visit, expressed their love for sports, with Andy being a football enthusiast and Janett an avid tennis player.
Furthermore, the LVFD, in their free time, often organize charity games to raise funds for local sports clubs, demonstrating their ongoing support and dedication to their community's diverse interests.
