Firefighters of Tönnhausen once again win the Wanderpokal of the circle championship
In a recent district firefighting competition, the Fire Department Toennhausen based in Ashausen made a remarkable showing, securing a 100 percent success rate in all three modules and claiming the top spot.
Competing against 37 other groups, the Fire Department Toennhausen demonstrated their speed, safety, and technical prowess, earning them the title of the fastest team in the competition. This impressive performance is not a one-off event, as the department also won the county championship trophy last year.
The Fire Department Toennhausen's journey to the competition was not without challenges. They had to qualify in the preliminary round to secure their place, a testament to their dedication and preparation.
Nine groups in total completed all three modules with a perfect score, but it was the Fire Department Toennhausen that took the victory. Four other groups—Winsen 2, Sahrendorf/Schätzendorf, Vierhöfen, and Salzhausen 2—were awarded the bronze performance badge.
The fire department in the Harburg district also put on a strong showing, with results of over 99 percent up to the 34th place. In addition to FF Toennhausen, fire departments Laßrönne 2, Schwinde-Stove, Rottorf, and Hunden also qualified for the district competition next year.
For those interested in learning more about the competition results and participating fire departments, there are several ways to obtain this information. Contacting the Ashausen Town Hall or the local police department is a good starting point, as they often have the most up-to-date and accurate records of official events.
Many municipalities, including Ashausen, also publish event calendars, competition results, and lists of participating departments online or in newsletters. Direct inquiries to the local fire station in Ashausen or the district fire chief are also encouraged, as they are usually happy to share information about upcoming events and past results.
Local Facebook groups, community forums, or dedicated firefighting pages often post event summaries and results soon after competitions. By staying informed, the community can support and celebrate the achievements of their local firefighters.
In the district competition next year, there will be various fire departments competing alongside the Fire Department Toennhausen, including Laßrönne 2, Schwinde-Stove, Rottorf, and Hunden. Some departments also excel in other sports, such as Winsen 2, Sahrendorf/Schätzendorf, Vierhöfen, and Salzhausen 2, who were awarded the bronze performance badge in additional sports events.
