Firefighters of Detmold liberate a swan entangled in a string of angels on Lake Mesché
Swan Rescued from Fishing Line in Detmold's Meschesee Lake
In an unexpected rescue operation, a swan was successfully freed from a fishing line in Detmold's Meschesee Lake yesterday afternoon. The Fire Department Detmold, equipped with a boat, carried out the operation that took approximately one hour.
The swan, unfortunately, had its right foot ensnared in the fishing line. Fire department personnel approached the distressed bird in their boat and carefully removed the line from the swan while it was still in the vessel. After the line was safely removed, the swan was released back into the lake.
