Firefighter's Association in North Rhine-Westphalia (VdF NRW) division known as "Network Diversity" will join the Cologne Pride Parade (CSD) on July 9, 2023.
The Association of Fire Brigades in North Rhine-Westphalia (VdF NRW) is set to make a significant contribution to the upcoming Cologne Pride demo on July 9, 2023. According to the VdF NRW, this year's event is expected to be the most colorful and longest in its history, with over 230 groups participating.
The VdF NRW network, known as 'Network Diversity', has around 65 members who will be participating in the demo. The honorary guest for the firefighter activists in the Netzwerk Vielfalt of the Association of Firefighters in North Rhine-Westphalia is Matthias Löb.
Andreas Kirchharz, the project coordinator of 'Network Diversity', expressed his pride and gratitude for the participation of 65 firefighters from various locations in North Rhine-Westphalia in the CSD demo. The firefighters will be accompanied by emergency vehicles from Cologne and Gelsenkirchen during the parade.
The firefighters participating in the CSD demo aim to create a 'wet and cheerful atmosphere'. To achieve this, they will be using fire extinguisher backpacks filled with water, providing refreshing moments for the audience along the parade route. The phrase 'A little wet fun must be!' encapsulates the spirit of this unique approach.
The company Dönges, a system supplier for fire brigade equipment, is providing ten fire extinguisher backpacks for the emergency forces. The involvement of a large number of participants from the VdF NRW network in the CSD demo is broadly accepted.
Susanne Stupp, the current mayor of the city of Frechen, is an honorary guest among the firefighters active in the network. The Cologne Pride demo is being held under the motto 'For human rights - Many. Together. Strong!'.
