This specialized team is responsible for the detection, safe removal, and disposal of bombs, grenades, and ammunition, including unexploded World War II ordnance.
Preparing for Evacuation
Affected residents are advised to take along all essential items, such as medication, baby or special food, and appropriate clothing, during the evacuation. Wheelchair-bound individuals can request an ambulance transport by calling 19222.
Care Center and Return
A care center will be set up at the sports hall of the Pestalozzi School, Eisteichweg 7, 30559 Hannover, which will be open on August 18 from 4:30 PM. Residents can likely return to their apartments in the late evening hours after the successful implementation of all safety measures.
