Even the British monarch, King Charles III, is a fan! As part of their 10-year anniversary tour, they're bringing their most sought-after illusions to stages worldwide.

However, the magic took a peculiar turn during their rehearsal at Westfalenhalle in Dortmund, where a close encounter with a pyrotechnic device left Andreas' hairdo ablaze! For a split second, it seemed like old flames (pun intended) had returned to the Ehrlich Brothers' act in a most inconvenient way. Thankfully, they quickly captured the incident on film, sharing it on their Instagram account, where Andreas is seen applying an ice pack and joking, "Still burning up? Feels like my face is on fire."
His brother, ever the optimist, commented, "A lucky escape! Sometimes luck's on your side, even in mishaps! At least Andreas has a brand-new 'do now!" Andreas later spoke to a German newspaper, saying, "Near miss – wrong timing, wrong move. Could've been a lot worse."
Not the First (Minor) Mishap for the Ehrlich Brothers
Interestingly, this isn't the first time the duo has ended up in scrapes during their performances. As Chris Ehrlich put it in an interview back in 2023, "Performing illusions is, by its very nature, a risky business. I've had my fair share of accidents – once I fell off my motorcycle and broke a rib, and another time, my hair caught on fire. Fire, mistake – poof! I've even taken a spill while flying before. Stuff happens, but it's rare."
Fortunately, their show at the Westfalenhalle went off without any major hitches and is set to air on ZDF this autumn, assuming no more magical misfortunes befall the Brothers Ehrlich. With any luck, their hair will remain safely unharnessed for the oncoming tour!
