Finn Wolfhard to Co-Write 'Trouble Boys' Biopic on The Replacements

He and his father, Eric, are set to co-write the screenplay for 'Trouble Boys,' a biopic about the influential punk band The Replacements. Rich Peete will produce under his Neighborhood Watch banner. The upcoming 'Trouble Boys' film will delve into the tumultuous history of The Replacements, renowned for their impact on American alternative rock. The band was infamous for their wild on-stage antics, most notably their profanity-laced performance on 'Saturday Night Live' in 1986, which led to a lifetime ban from the show.
The film is based on the 2016 biography of the same name, written by Bob Mehr. Finn Wolfhard, aside from his acting prowess, is also a talented musician. He is currently on his first solo tour for his debut album 'Happy Birthday.' In a recent Variety cover story, he hinted at a secret music-themed project with his father. This project has been revealed to be the band 'The Boys.'
