Finerge Expands Into Solar Power With €115M Hybrid Energy Projects

Finerge, Portugal's largest wind energy producer, is building four solar farms in the country, which will leverage the existing grid connection infrastructure already used by two of the company's wind farms. These "hybridization" projects—a strategy that combines different renewable technologies at a single grid connection point—have just secured financing, with Finerge obtaining a total of €115 million from a consortium led by Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD), along with BCP and Sabadell.
