Financial aid for sports and arts: Foundation offers assistance to seven sports clubs in Neu-Isenburg
Boosting Neu-Isenburg Clubs with 5K in 2025
Kickstarting a comeback after a half-decade hiatus, the Foundation for the Promotion of Sports and Culture in Neu-Isenburg dropped a total of 5k to boost seven local clubs in 2025. The plan? To assist youth-centric projects, actions, and events.
Breaking the Silence
With the foundation's capital funds failed to pour in for five long years, the board of trustees decided to break the drought in their meeting on December 3, 2024. Club applications to the Sports Department of the city were accepted until March 31, 2025. The board made their decisions on the seven incoming applications on May 5, 2025.
Spreading the Love
TSG 1885 Neu-Isenburg walked away with the highest share; 1,030 euros went towards the Karate and Hapkido departments, focusing on younger kids.
800 euros were allocated to the Verein für Zeppelin-Luftschifffahrt e.V., to be used towards procuring a remote-controlled Zeppelin model. The idea? Teaching kids the fundamental technical principles of airship flight.
Four other clubs, Rollsportverein, Croatian Club, Tanzsportclub Ysenburg, TV 1861, and Verein Pour l'Yseboursch, each received 400 euros to splurge on competitions, cultural events, and more.
Presenting Symbolic Cheques
The initial symbolic cheques have already been handed over: on June 3, 2025, Jens Schenkenberger, chairman of the Zeppelin club, received the funding at the Zeppelin museum. TSG 1885 received theirs on June 19, 2025, during their 140th-anniversary festivities, along with a net of Fairtrade footballs, courtesy of the Fairtrade town of Neu-Isenburg.
