Finally do something!

Something needs to be done about the rising radicalism in Germany!

All those liberal Muslims like Ahmad Mansour and Seyran Ateş have been warning us for years, but unfortunately, their warnings have fallen on deaf ears. The recent Hamas war has shown us the harsh truth - there are tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of radicals living in Germany who reject our society and aim to overthrow it.

Instead of listening to their warnings, these admonishers have been ignored or even denigrated as racist and Islamophobic. The result? We are now witnessing the consequences of turning a blind eye to this problem for far too long.

"There's no place for anti-Semitism," politicians have been saying for the past three weeks. But, as Frank Schneider's footage from Essen shows, this is just empty rhetoric. There's plenty of room for anti-Semitism and radicalism in Germany, as evidenced by the posters promoting a caliphate that would be detrimental to many, including Jews, Christians, and LGBT individuals.

The situation is particularly concerning for secular Muslims who have fled to the West from radical Islam-ruled countries. They know what this ideology has done in their countries of origin. On the other hand, some refugees seem to want exactly that - the conditions in Kabul, Tehran, or Mogadishu.

So, what are our politicians doing to address this issue? Nothing concrete, it seems. When posters promoting Hamas went up in Berlin without formal authorization, the police acted swiftly. But when the "Islamic State" marches through Essen, practically nothing happens.

The police should be at the door of every one of the 3,000 participants in these events, checking their residence status, initiating searches and criminal proceedings, and ordering deportations. But instead, they seem to be letting this radicalism continue unchecked.

It's high time our politicians started taking concrete actions to address this problem. They need to prioritize addressing radicalism and anti-Semitism, just as they do with other infractions like parking violations or social distancing rules during the pandemic.

German authorities are taking specific actions to address the promotion of radical ideologies. For instance, the Bavarian Ministry of Culture has banned a Marxist climate activist, Lisa Poettinger, from becoming a schoolteacher due to her involvement with extremist organizations. Poettinger is currently facing court proceedings for her actions. However, the lack of swift action against anti-Semitic and divisive posters is a complex issue influenced by factors like balancing freedom of speech, political polarization, resource allocation, and cultural and historical context.
