Final Voice Recording Heard Prior to Demise - Final voice message heard before Doku's demise revealed
The German public broadcaster ARD is set to air a new documentary titled "The Küblböck Story - Your Lana Kaiser" on August 27 at 23:50. The first two episodes will be broadcast on August 28 at 22:45 on BR Fernsehen.
The docuseries delves into the life of Lana Kaiser, formerly known as Daniel Küblböck, a former contestant on "Germany's Got Talent." Lana disappeared during a cruise in September 2018 and is believed to have jumped overboard during the voyage from Hamburg to New York across the Atlantic.
The series reveals the final voice message that Lana recorded before her disappearance. In this message, addressed to her then-partner, Lana expressed a strong desire to leave the cruise ship and fly to New York. The message was tense and delivered in a shaky voice.
Lana had come out as transgender before the cruise and was a star on "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" (DSDS). The documentary sheds light on lesser-known sides of the music star and her career on "Germany's Got Talent."
The docuseries also includes testimonies from companions, friends, ex-partners, family members, and celebrities like Olivia Jones, Riccardo Simonetti, and Lucy Diakovska. They speak about Lana's final days, describing them as deeply lonely. Olivia Jones, a close friend, reflects with regret about potentially missing signs and being less sensitive to Lana's struggles.
The series aims to shed light on the pressures and isolation leading up to Lana's disappearance and presumed death, emphasizing her identity journey and the complications she faced as a transgender individual and public figure.

After around two and a half years, the Passau Local Court officially declared Lana Kaiser dead on February 22, 2021. The exact date of her death is believed to be September 9, 2018, when she went overboard from the cruise ship.
The docuseries also portrays conflicts on board, including harassment due to Lana's gender identity or sexuality. Some passengers described the behavior of others as "gawking," which may have contributed to Lana's state of mind.
The ARD documentary "The Küblböck Story – Your Lana Kaiser" will be available in the ARD media library from August 26. The series promises to provide an emotional context on Lana's loneliness and distress in her final days and reveal her last recorded words as a direct plea for help and escape.
Speaking of Lana Kaiser's life and career, entertainers Olivia Jones, Riccardo Simonetti, and Lucy Diakovska, who are featured in the documentary, discuss the lonely final days of the former 'DSDS' and 'Germany's Got Talent' contestant. This docuseries, airing on ARD, also highlights the struggles and challenges faced by Kaiser, a transgender individual, in the realm of pop-culture and media, including the platforms MediaLathek and Schiff.
