Sinner Sizzles amidst Competition

In the thrilling semi-final duel against Djokovic, 38-year-old Djokovic demonstrated his resilience, having previously defeated Alexander Zverev in the quarter-finals. Despite this, Sinner's exceptional form quickly became apparent. After 46 minutes, the Italian claimed the first set. But Djokovic wouldn't go without a fight, losing the second set spectacle. Sinner always remained one step ahead, though.

When serving for the second set at 5:4, Djokovic came back to break Sinner. The stadium, filled with numerous celebrities, roared "Novak, Novak" in support. Sinner remained unfazed, swiftly broke Djokovic back, and later pocketed his second set point. Djokovic was treated after the match, showing signs of wear and tear, but he kept up the resistance. Alcaraz Aims for Nadal's Footsteps

Before the semi-final, Alcaraz paid tribute to his legendary fellow Spaniard Rafael Nadal by visiting Nadal's footprint on Court Philippe-Chatrier and taking a photo. Although Alcaraz didn't mirror Nadal's style at the tournament's outset, he eventually played like his illustrious compatriot, besting Musetti in a tough match.

Musetti's solid performances continued throughout the tournament, but he faced a setback when Musetti suffered an injury while trailing Alcaraz 4:6, 7:6 (7:3), 6:0, 2:0.

Musetti Mishap Marred the Match

In the third set, Alcaraz leveled the match with a swift victory. Although Musetti rallied one last time, he couldn't continue at the start of the fourth set. "It's never easy to win a match in these circumstances," Alcaraz said in a post-match interview. "Lorenzo has had an outstanding clay-court season. I hope he recovers quickly," Alcaraz added, with sympathy for his unfortunate opponent. Musetti was disappointed, admitting, "I knew I had to play the best tennis of my career against him, and I did for two sets. However, I felt a pull and just couldn't continue."
