Lübeck Turner Association Sweeps SHTV State Championships

The small town of Eutin was abuzz with excitement on July 1, 2023, as the SHTV State Championships took place. Twelve multi-fighters from Lübeck, representing the Lübeck Turner Association, made a significant impact at the event.

In the German Six-Fight, Senta Wulf, a member of Lübeck 1876, clinched the title with an impressive score of 67.81 points. Her teammate, Lena Wulf, also impressed in the 14-15 age group, securing silver with a score of 64.11 points.

However, it was not just the Lübeck 1876 members who shone. Jone Weimer, another member of the Lübeck Turner Association, triumphed in the 16-17 age group with a score of 66.52 points. Meanwhile, Joanna Bengtsson, also a member of the Lübeck Turner Association, dominated the 18-19 age group with an impressive score of 82.00 points.

The Lübeck Turner Association's success did not stop there. Merle Scheppach from TSV Schlutup, who is not a member of any previously mentioned gymnastics clubs, secured a fourth state championship title for Lübeck in the Athletics Five-Fight. Her score of 39.21 points in the 14-15 age group was enough to clinch the victory.

The SHTV State Championships included age groups ranging from 10-11 to 20+. In the 10-11 age group, Mirja Scheppach (TSV Schlutup) won silver, while Finja Neumann (Lübecker TS) finished third in the 20+ age group with a score of 75.70 points.

The Lübeck Turner Association's dominance at the SHTV State Championships was noteworthy, securing four state championship titles in total. The KTV, the organising body, took the time to thank the coaches, helpers, and organisers for their efforts in making the competition a success. They also congratulated all the gymnasts for their performances.
