Filming commences for Dan Levy's Netflix production titled Big Mistakes; entire cast unveiled
Dan Levy's latest project, the dark crime comedy series Big Mistakes, is now in production on Netflix. The show, co-created by Rachel Sennott, follows the hilarious and chaotic journey of two deeply incapable siblings as they navigate the dangerous underworld of organized crime.
The series stars Dan Levy and Taylor Ortega as the siblings, with Laurie Metcalf playing their mother, Linda. The talented cast also includes Elizabeth Perkins, Jack Innanen, Jacob Gutierrez, Joe Barbara, Josh Fadem, Mark Ivanir, Boran Kuzum, and Rachel Sennott.
Big Mistakes promises a tone similar to Levy’s previous work, blending sharp comedy with chaotic family dynamics against the backdrop of crime and blackmail. The series is set to consist of eight episodes and is expected to be released in 2026.
Levy took to his social media to announce the start of production, expressing his excitement about the project and the team he's building for Big Mistakes. The show marks Levy's first production on Netflix since a deal between his Not a Real Production Company and the streaming platform.
This isn't the first time Levy has worked with Netflix. He previously produced the series Unfrosted and the film Good Grief, which was released on Netflix on January 5, 2024.
The story of Big Mistakes revolves around two deeply flawed siblings who are blackmailed into the world of organized crime. The series mixes family dysfunction, blackmail, and crime with dark humor and a unique twist on the classic sibling rivalry trope.
With its unique premise, star-studded cast, and Levy's proven comedy chops, Big Mistakes is shaping up to be an exciting addition to Netflix's lineup. Stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated series.
