Film Festival CultureKino on August 28 and 29, 2025
The city of Hamm is gearing up for an exciting cultural event this August with the Open-Air Cinema Event, part of the #h4 KulturSommers. This joint project between the Kulturbüro of the city and Radio Lippe Welle Hamm will take place in the Kurhausgarten, with visitors welcome to bring their own picnic blankets, chairs, and cushions for a comfortable open-air cinema experience. Admission to the event is free, thanks to the commitment and support of Sparkasse Hamm.
The two-day event will screen three films over August 28th and 29th. On August 28th at 19:30, the German comedy "Was nicht passt, wird passend gemacht" will be shown. On August 29th at 17:00, the family film "Das kleine Gespenst", a live-action adaptation of Otfried Preußler's children's book, will be featured. The evening of the 29th will conclude with the romance "Before Midnight", the third part of Richard Linklater's film series about the relationship between Celine and Jesse, shown at 19:30[1].
It's worth noting that the Open-Air Cinema Event is separate from the South Ring and Co: Planning to Stroll in Hamm, another exciting initiative planned for the city. The cancellation of the third evening of the Open-Air Cinema Event on the 30th of August is also unrelated to the South Ring and Co event.
The location of the Open-Air Cinema Event is in front of the music pavilion in the Kurhausgarten. Meanwhile, the parties in Hamm are drawing a balance after 100 Days of Federal Government and are campaigning for first-time voters by mail.
