Currently underway, filming for the adaptation of acclaimed German author Sebastian Fitzek's (52) novel, "The Homecoming Journey," was recently announced by Amazon Prime Video. This marks the second project in the partnership between Fitzek, Ziegler Film, and Prime Video Germany, following the successful series "The Therapy."

Published in 2020, Fitzek's novel "The Homecoming Journey," serves as the basis for the upcoming film. According to the press announcement, the book topped the bestseller charts for eleven consecutive weeks and spent a total of 120 weeks on the order lists. Acclaimed actors Luise Heyer (38, "Nahschuss") and Sabin Tambrea (39, "Babylon Berlin") star as the lead roles in the film adaptation.
