Men's Rankings

  • France has climbed to the second position, just a step behind Brazil, which has dropped to sixth place. Argentina, which previously held the second position, has slipped to third.
  • Morocco is the top-ranked team in Africa, sitting at 11th globally, while Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, Côte d'Ivoire, and the Benin Republic complete the African top five. Croatia has reached ninth place, and Portugal has climbed into fifth.
  • Slovakia has surged 10 places to 42nd, thanks to consecutive qualifying wins, while Germany has tumbled to 12th following a shock loss to Slovakia.
  • Zimbabwe has suffered a setback, dropping nine places to 125th position. On the other hand, Kosovo has reached a historic milestone by moving to 91st place. South Africa, a previous opponent of the Super Eagles, has moved up to 55th position.
  • The Gambia, Madagascar, Uganda, Libya, Suriname, and the Faroe Islands have each jumped at least five places.

Women's Rankings

  • Spain has reclaimed the top position in the women's rankings for the first time since 2014, overtaking the USA. On the women's side, the Super Falcons have held their position as the 36th best team in the world.
  • Canada, one of the co-hosts of the 2026 World Cup, has climbed to 26th place.
