The Kazakhstan Football Federation (KFF) has been honoured with the prestigious status of a FIFA Talent Academy, making it the first such academy in Central Asia. The announcement was made during a grand event in Talgar, attended by key figures from the international football community.

FIFA's Global Development Director, Stephen Martens, emphasized the potential of the project and its importance for Kazakh football. He was joined by FIFA Director of Member Associations, Andreas Herren, and the FIFA High Performance Program Head, Ulf Schott, who participated in the opening ceremony.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino addressed the participants via video message, stating that a FIFA Talent Academy is a vital investment in the dreams of young players. He stressed the importance of fostering social and personal growth, developing well-rounded individuals, and instilling values like discipline, teamwork, and leadership through football.

Infantino also mentioned that the Academy will open paths for boys and girls to achieve self-realization at both regional and global levels. He emphasized that the Academy will help identify, nurture, and develop local talent, contributing significantly to the growth of Kazakh football.

David Loria, the General Secretary of the KFF, expressed his delight, stating that the establishment of a FIFA Talent Academy in Kazakhstan is a significant step towards building a sustainable system for the development of youth football in the country.

The event began with a welcoming speech by veteran Kazakhstani footballer Kurabayev, who spoke about the Academy's goal to help children and young footballers unlock their potential and find their way into big sports. The young footballers had the opportunity to interact with FIFA legend Christian Karembeu, who shared his story and gave advice to young players.

Following the official speeches, an open training session and a friendly match between the teams of the KFF Academy took place. The event concluded with a ceremony to award the young footballers with commemorative medals and FIFA gifts.

The KFF leadership was presented with a symbol of the official assignment of the KFF Academy's FIFA Talent Academy status. The Kazakhstan Football Federation's Academy is the ninth association worldwide and the second Uefa representative to receive this status.

The FIFA Talent Development Programme in Kazakhstan aims to produce high-quality players for professional games and the national team. The KFF will continue to work diligently to live up to the high status of being a FIFA Talent Academy and nurture a new generation of players who will proudly represent Kazakhstan on the international stage.
