FIFA 2026 Club World Cup draw reveals historic 42-team showdown on December 5

The FIFA 2026 Club World Cup draw is set to take place on December 5, 2023, at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. The event will be broadcast live on BBC and iPlayer from 5pm GMT, with former England defender Rio Ferdinand leading the proceedings as the draw conductor.

The draw will determine the group-stage matchups for the expanded 42-team tournament, which includes England, Scotland, and the three host nations: the US, Mexico, and Canada. This will be the first Club World Cup to feature 48 teams, with matches spread across 16 cities from June 11 to July 19, 2026.

The December 5 draw will mark a key milestone in the build-up to the 2026 Club World Cup, setting the stage for the largest edition of the tournament in history. With 42 teams now knowing their potential paths to the final, attention will soon turn to the host cities and the eventual halftime show lineup, which FIFA will confirm in the coming years.
