Fiance expresses worries after Kate Hudson acquires on-set bruise
Kate Hudson discusses the physical challenges and camaraderie experienced during the filming of Netflix's "Running Point." The American sports comedy, which made its debut in the United States on February 27, 2025, took a toll on Hudson, as she sustained a "massive" bruise and several other injuries while working on the set.
During an exclusive interview with People Magazine at the Emmy FYC event on May 30, Hudson humorously recalled a conversation with her fianceé, Danny Fujikawa, when he inquired about her significant bruise. The actress joked, "I remember one time I had this big bruise on my left thigh and I was getting into bed, and [my fianceé] was... like, 'Babe, what's going on?' And it was like massive."
Apart from anecdotes about her physical mishaps, Hudson also shared light-hearted moments of socializing with her male co-stars. She described a memorable instance where she was the only woman among a group of "really hot guys" on set. Hudson attributed this to co-creator Mindy Kaling's insight that she would be the ideal fit for the role, which created a fun, comedic atmosphere.
This collaborative environment was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a sense of creative accomplishment, underscoring the impressive production values despite its modest budget.
