George Frideric Handel, born in Halle in 1685, had quite the wandering spirit. After a series of stops, including spending time in Italy from 1706 to 1709, he eventually settled in London, where he died in 1759. Being a star in his day, Handel's musical legacy continues to be celebrated worldwide [2].
