Festival "TurnUp" commences this Saturday at Bremer Bürgerweide

The much-anticipated Turn Up BRMN Festival 2025 is set to take place today, August 2, at Bürgerweide in Bremen. This music festival, focusing on rap, hip hop, and dance music, promises an exciting lineup of artists.

The 20-year-old entrepreneur, Leonard Geßner, is the brainchild behind this event. Geßner, who expressed his frustration in a Bremen-NEXT interview in March about always having to travel to Hamburg or Hannover for concerts, aims to bring concerts to Bremen with this festival. He has secured sponsors to support the event, but as he himself admitted, it's a risk he's willing to take.

The festival opens at 12 noon, and the performances are scheduled throughout the day. The lineup includes well-known artists like Luciano, Pashanim, and Symba, as well as the rapper Gzuz from the hip-hop group "187 Straßenbande". Additionally, performances by Summer Cem, KC Rebell, Omar, Wa22ermann, Booz, Liz, and Kid Kapri are planned. However, a schedule for the performances has not yet been published.

Minors under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult at the festival. For those looking to continue the music after the festival, an aftershow party is scheduled. At Club Amelie, the DJ duo Drunken Masters and DJ $hoki will be performing.

Attendees are advised to leave large bags at home during the festival. Bringing your own food and drinks is not allowed at the festival. An awareness team will be on site during the festival, but no information about their specific purpose was provided.

Tickets for the festival cost €90. The Turn Up BRMN festival is a significant event, as artists like Iron Maiden and Sido have recently performed at Bürgerweide. Get ready to turn up at Bremen's Bürgerweide this Saturday for an unforgettable music experience!
