Festival of gunfire, "Adler" Hohenheide, taking place from 15th to 18th August 2025
The Marksmen's Festival "Adler" Hohenheide e.V. is gearing up for a four-day celebration from August 15th to 18th in Hohenheide. This annual event brings together tradition and camaraderie, as reflected in its theme of "Tradition and Friendship."
The festival kicks off with an ecumenical church service in the Herz-Jesu Church on Friday at around 17:30. The main event, however, is the traditional bird shooting, accompanied by the Rossemohler musicians, which begins around 19:45 on Friday evening.
On Saturday, the festival will feature a grand parade with decorated uniforms and floats, starting at 15:00 across the Hohenheide. After the proclamation of the king, the Sound Cocktail dance and show band will take the stage for an evening of dancing and celebration.
Sunday is filled with more festivities, including a concert by the "Musiccorps White Heads Hamm" at 13:00. The grand festival parade will follow suit at 15:00, marking the culmination of the day's events.
The festival is open to club members, citizens, friends, and guests from near and far, making it a true community celebration. It will continue on Monday from 14:00, accompanied by DJ Daniel, until the early morning hours. The festival will conclude with a traditional marksmen's breakfast on Monday at 10:00, followed by a morning drink with the honoring of long-standing members.
