Festival of culture, music, and entertainment - Brunnenfest in Bad Liebenstein scheduled for August 22-24, 25.
The picturesque town of Bad Liebenstein, Germany, will be the stage for a vibrant celebration from August 22 to 24, 2025, as the Brunnenfest returns for another exciting edition. This year's event promises a diverse program that caters to a broad audience, featuring music, dance, children's activities, and culinary delights for the whole family.
The festivities kick off on Friday evening with a rock concert by the Sheller Evergreens in the Herzog-Georg-Passage. The band will take the stage at 8:00 PM, playing cover hits from iconic artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Deep Purple, Coldplay, and The Beatles. The Hotel Herzog Georg will offer exclusive food, including their special "Herzog-Georg-Burger."
Other notable acts during the festival include Mr. Jam and the Lyric Opera Studio Weimar, ensuring a varied musical experience for festival-goers.
The town's historic spa district will be adorned with colorful stands, offering a program filled with dance shows, live music, and activities like Kneipp water treading under expert guidance and archery. On Saturday, the festival moves to the area between the Wandelhalle and the Musikpavillon in the Historic Spa Quarter. The choir concert by MGV Sängerkranz 1857 Bad Liebenstein will take place at 3 PM, followed by two joyful dances by the Steinbacher Freier Karnevalklub e.V. at 1 PM.
On Sunday, after the large open-air regional service, there will be the ninth beer tapping and early shopping with the Steinbacher Trachtenkapelle. Later in the evening, Mr. Jam will perform handmade party music at 8 PM, their repertoire includes hits from the past decades, from ABBA to Lady Gaga.
The finale of the Brunnenfest will be a captivating performance of the Grimm's fairy tale "The Frog King" by Theater im Palais Erfurt, along with a historical fashion show, on Sunday, August 24th.
Throughout the festival, there will be culinary offerings, including beer carts, association stands, cake bazaars, and the café of the cultural hotel Kaiserhof "Das Kaiser's". There will also be activities for children, such as bouncy castles, ball pools, and giant soap bubbles.
